Buildings’ Carbon Footprint Visualisation
City of Vantaa is holding 2015 Housing Fair in Kivistö and their strategic focus is on buildings’ environmental impacts. Gaia Consulting won the competition of conducting Hausing Fair’s life cycle assessment. Part of the assignment was to communicate visually the results of the assessment to fair visitors. The idea of the illustration is to show people which stages of the building’s life cycle create impacts and how big are the impacts in comparison to other buildings. Data from 11 buildings were gathered and visualised from various construction companies and the carbon footprint calculations are based on that data.
